Birdcage spacers set the cage position on the axle and protect the axle surface where the rotor or hub slides over. Correct spacing keeps the cage aligned with the torsion arm and radius rods. Splined versions protect the axle splines from wear during assembly.
These are inexpensive parts that prevent expensive axle damage.
TIP2132 features internal splines to protect the axle where the rotor slides over and space the bird cage out. TIP2130 is used to prevent wear on the bearing shoulder. Standard sprint car birdcages are made from tough billet 6061-T6 aluminum then black anodized for corrosion resistance.
Designed for maximum performance, these birdcages include an angular contact bearing, and come complete with a torsion arm bolt and a radius rod bolt.
