Wing straps tie the wing side boards to the chassis and carry the load the wing generates without disturbing airflow. A strap that bends or fails lets the wing move, changing the aero balance the car was set up around. Adjustable versions let you change wing height without fabricating new parts.
Straps are light, cheap, and take damage in contact, so spares are worth having.
Adjustable Steel, 6 Inch to 7.5 Inch. Tubular Nose Wing Straps are available in both adjustable and non-adjustable formats, and are made from plated 4130 steel tubing. Non-adjustable straps are 10-3/4 Inch long (hole-to-hole) from the shock towers to the nose wing side boards, and weigh 5 Ounce.
Adjustable straps have welded tabs with adjustable bottom mounts (6 Inch, 6-3/4 Inch, 7-1/2 Inch) and weigh 4.5 Ounce. Straps do not interrupt airflow. Sold individually.
